Remember the wheelbarrow and the topsoil? So now we switch to sods! Delivery was last evening, so Mr. Teacher decides to do some real work this weekend, get up at 6:30 and have coffee leaning on a dirty ol' pile of grass. By dusk all 2500 square feet were down, but the camera was inside... here's the progress shown just after lunch. Got to roll them in tomorrow, but that's no big deal.
Got to say: hard work, but there is something to be said for throwing down some turf, working it into the last row, checking the seams and the corners... and in the end looking back at a field where there was not one that very morning.
