April (Tool's) Ride

Got some new tools for the bike - you never know. A fine and very small pump and a functional tool kit with all the necessary tools to brake into a bank, almost. Don't be a fool and ride without a tool. Leave your silly cell phone at home and bring a mini Famous Grouse along instead!
Cheers!

April (Fool's) Ride

Here's my favourite ride - from Torbay along the coast, through Middle Cove, Outer Cove and Logy Bay, Newfoundland. Great hills to rip your legs off and great scenery to keep your heart floating.
I've gotta be a fool to ride at these temperatures, but only a fool would pass up the opportunity to ride with the seagulls this Sunday.
We're flying!

Cheers,
Atlantic Grouse

Kojak on da Trails

Vor der Fahrt ein Calanda - before your ride a Calanda. "Fahrt" (drive) in German sound just like fart (Furz) in English.
Keep smiling
Kojak

SHOCKING REVELATION!

Who luv's ya, baby!

Sign? What sign?

Can't find a sign ... might have to search deeper!

Do we really need that sign?

The pitch of this hill is steep; more than 45 degrees in places, I'm sure.
The blue water is the North Atlantic. The cliffs are sheer drops; the signs are on the very edge of the cliffs, just off of the pavement.
The air is -2 Celsius; the water isn't much more...

Do we really need the yellow sign at the intersection?

More pics to come later of my favourite ride route... yes, I actually got out for a 'real' bike ride today!

Cheers,
Ridin' Grouse

No Carlsberg, No Calanda - Please Advise!

Note the perplexed face -

Our liquor store doesn't stock Carlsberg anymore (?!?!?), and Calanda was neither expected nor found. Wish I could say "Proust!" with one of those.
So I'm left with the Dutch or Belgians as my only decent imported options...
Sepp... help me out here... which can do I open first?

Proust!
