Somewhat Confused AlienGrouse

So, I came back to Planet Newfoundland to ride today...

... and I was able to see some beautiful scenery...

But now I'm a little confused...

If a place has such natural beauty, why do the Earth-People Inhabitants go for food to a place with a big golden arches as their logo, then throw the food-containers all over their Earth?
